Joseph E. Camardella passed away on December 14, 2023, at the Westchester Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born in Manhattan on October 31, 1952, to the late Anthony and Linda (nee Chiapetta}Camardella. He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Vallarelli.
He is survived by his daughters Andrea May, husband, Jason May and Stephanie Camardella; grandchildren Justice, Cameron, Madison and Mason May; brother, Anthony Camardella, his wife Namra, their daughter Catherine son Matthew nephews, Michael Vallarelli, and his daughter Gemma; John Vallarelli, his wife Natalie, and daughter Mia. In addition, he is survived by an Aunt and Uncle Stephen and Rosanne Hansen, as well as many cousins here and abroad’
Joseph grew up in Pelham Manor, NY and lived most of his adult life in Westchester County. He graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 1970. He attended various colleges over the years, hence one of his nick names was, “Joe College.” Joe did many things in his life: he lived in the Caribbean and attended the original Woodstock festival. He had many careers throughout his life. Joe was theproprietor of an Italian Restaurant, Auto Sales Manager, house painter, and truck driver. Later in life he acted professionally in theater, television and commercials.
Joe enjoyed classic films, art, music and cars. He loved to take long walks by the ocean; loved animals and had many pets over the years. Joe had a great sense of humor and a strong and sensitive heart. He will be missed by all and may he rest in peace. A Remembrance Service for Joe will be held at a later date to be determined.
